What's on Your Plate?
RC Reading Movies 11 & IMAX
Sunday, June 27 – 7:00, with a post-film discussion

How much do you know about the origins of the food you eat? Distributed by Bullfrog Films, What’s On Your Plate was filmed over the course of one year, and follows eleven-year-olds Sadie and Safiyah as they explore their place in the food chain.

The two young girls explore food systems in New York City and its surrounding areas. With the camera as their companion, the girls speak to food activists, farmers, new friends, storekeepers, their families and the viewer in their quest to understand what’s on all of our plates.

The post-film discussion features Tracy Jean Benson, local nutritional counselor and weight-loss specialist, moderated by Al Walentis.

Ticket cost is $7.00.
